Who is this emergency contraception for?
What is your biological sex?

We ask because it affects some safety checks (for example pregnancy).

How old are you?

Emergency contraception is available to anyone who needs it, but for under-16s we need a pharmacist conversation first.

How long ago was the unprotected sex or contraceptive failure?

This decides which option can work, or whether a coil is the better choice.

Could you already be pregnant - for example from unprotected sex earlier in this cycle?
Have you taken emergency contraception (Levonelle or ellaOne) already since your last period?
Are you taking any enzyme-inducing medicines - for example some epilepsy medicines, rifampicin/rifabutin, or St John's Wort?

These can stop emergency contraception working properly.

Are you currently breastfeeding?
Do you have severe asthma treated with steroid tablets, or severe liver disease?
Are you allergic to levonorgestrel or ulipristal acetate?
Do you understand this is for emergencies, does not protect against future sex or STIs, and that you should take a pregnancy test if your next period is late or unusual?
