Before we start - have you read the Patient Information Leaflet (PIL) for this medicine?

The leaflet explains the dose, who should not take it, and the side effects. Ask us if you do not have a copy.

Are you - the person placing this order - 18 or over?

You must be 18 or over to buy from us. The medicine itself may be for others in your household.

Are the symptoms typical of threadworm - an itchy bottom (especially at night), or tiny white thread-like worms seen?

Ovex treats threadworm. Other tummy or bottom symptoms may need different advice.

Is everyone who will take this medicine aged 2 or over?

Ovex is for adults and children aged 2 and over. Children under 2 need a doctor's advice.

Is anyone who will take this medicine pregnant, trying to become pregnant, or breastfeeding?
Has anyone who will take this medicine ever had an allergic reaction to mebendazole (Ovex)?
Is anyone who will take this medicine taking metronidazole (an antibiotic, sometimes called Flagyl)?

Mebendazole taken with metronidazole has been linked to a rare but serious skin reaction.

Do you understand that the whole household usually needs treating at the same time, that hygiene measures (hand-washing and washing bedding) are important, and that a second dose after 2 weeks may be needed?
