Before we start - have you read the Patient Information Leaflet (PIL) for Gaviscon Infant?

The leaflet explains how to give it, who should not use it, and the side effects. Ask us if you do not have a copy.

Are you - the parent or carer placing this order - 18 or over?
Is this to help your baby with bringing up feeds (reflux / regurgitation)?
Was your baby born prematurely (before 37 weeks)?

Gaviscon Infant is not recommended for premature babies without a doctor's advice.

Does your baby currently have a fever, diarrhoea, vomiting (being sick a lot), or any signs of dehydration (such as fewer wet nappies, drowsiness, or a sunken soft spot)?

Gaviscon Infant needs your baby to be taking enough fluids, so it should not be used during these illnesses.

Does your baby have any of these: forceful or projectile vomiting, green (bile-stained) vomit, blood in the vomit or poo, poor weight gain or weight loss, breathing problems or choking during feeds, or being very distressed or refusing feeds?
Is your baby 1 year old or older, or did the bringing-up-feeds start after 6 months of age?
Is your baby already having a feed thickener, or another reflux medicine?

Gaviscon Infant should not be combined with other feed thickeners.

Has your baby ever had a reaction to Gaviscon Infant or any of its ingredients?
Do you understand to give it as directed (no more than 6 times in 24 hours), to make sure your baby is taking enough milk/fluids, and to see your GP or health visitor if there is no improvement within 7 days or your baby becomes unwell?
