Before we start - have you read the Patient Information Leaflet (PIL) for this medicine?

The leaflet lists who should not take Piriton, how much to take, and the side effects. Ask us if you do not have a copy.

Who will be taking this medicine (the intended user)?
Are you - the person placing this order - 18 or over?

You must be 18 or over to buy from us. The medicine itself may be for someone else.

Is the intended user 6 years or older?

These tablets are for adults and children aged 6 and over. Younger children need Piriton Syrup with a weight/age-based dose.

What is the intended user's biological sex?

We ask because it affects some safety checks (for example pregnancy).

Has the intended user ever had an allergic reaction to chlorphenamine (Piriton) or to other antihistamines?
Does the intended user have any of these: glaucoma (raised eye pressure), an enlarged prostate, or difficulty passing urine?
Does the intended user have epilepsy or a history of seizures (fits)?
Does the intended user have severe liver problems?
Is the intended user taking, or have they taken in the last 2 weeks, an MAOI antidepressant (for example phenelzine, isocarboxazid, tranylcypromine, or moclobemide)?

MAOIs are an older type of antidepressant.

Does the intended user drink alcohol regularly, or take other medicines that cause drowsiness (for example sleeping tablets, strong painkillers/opioids, or other sedating antihistamines)?
Is the intended user pregnant, trying to become pregnant, or breastfeeding?
Do you understand that Piriton can cause drowsiness that may last into the next day, and that the intended user should not drive or use machinery if they feel affected?
